Yes, and I discovered why Matsujun has so many fans. His acting is pretty much the best. Ever. I also really liked Koyuki- they both played their roles so well!! For once, I didn’t sense the corniness that usually pervades Jdorama.

Even though, when you think about it, the theme and title of the movie make it seem like it should be corny. Yeah.

Well, anyway, it was probably the best Jdorama I’ve watched. . .

Hanazakari no kimitachi e, Zettai Kareshi, Koizora. . .

Are those the only other ones I’ve watched. . . ?

Hmmm. . . well, Kimi wa Petto wins. ☆

And, actually, I haven't finished Koizora yet. . .

Also, what’s up with Alice Nine? I know visual kei is ridiculously popular, but I don’t think I’ll ever understand it. HOWEVER. Many of the pictures I found of this particular band were edited quite nicely; I thought they were digital paintings- and this made me very happy.

Because I’m special like that.

Futhermore, I watched AN’s “Rainbow” pv and really like the editing in that as well.

...... but, I guess that’s kind of the point of visual kei?

Oh, and I have one word for you: SHOU. ☀ I watched a live performance of "Rainbows" on YT and was so happy. Shou can actually sing on pitch (most of the time). AND with his diaphragm. You don't find that often in this genre (well, if you're talking about rock or punk in general). Nor do you find it, unfortunately, with most Japanese artists. Oh, and they play their own instruments. Well.

And they do their own makeup ahahahaha.

And, somehow, oshare kei scares me. It almost seems darker than the typical visual kei. Even though it’s supposed to be brighter. . . it’s somehow much more disturbing. The music is, too (though not lyrics-wise, necessarily).

When I listen to oshare kei or see a band picture, or [God forbid] am accosted by both at the same time, it’s like I’m flung into a pit of despair. My stomach twists and I feel like I may leave the Earth very soon. . . or rather, my stomach may.

So, I'm still watching Ranma 1/2. . . Though when I first started, all I could think of was InuYasha while I watched it. O_O

I wonder why. . . >_>. . .

The stories just seemed similar to me somehow. . .

And then there's the fact that the art is pretty much the same. . .

Oh, and Kappei Yamaguchi voices Ranma AND Inuyasha. . .

Oh, just like I thought, they're by the same author/artist. ☀

Kamen Rider Kareshi.

Wahaha, I started watching Zettai Kareshi the other night XD

I thought it would be amazingly. . . well, stupid. But, I was wrong! I actually like it very much! Apparently, the drama differs quite a bit from the manga?? But, I wouldn't know. . . because I haven't read it. I was deterred by the front cover of vol. 1 (≧ __ ≦)

Anyway, I knew that Mizushima Hiro was in this drama and I think he's a good actor, so I randomly decided to watch it. Yay for Nanba senpai and Tendou Souji!! (and now Asamoto Soushi (^ w ^) )

In other news. . . The the Kamen Rider Kiva Supernova album is awesomely cool. That's pretty much all I have to say. ♪

But, here is the desktop pic I mentioned, in two different forms. One is very Kiva, with the proper black and red color scheme. The other one is ridiculously bright. . . and purple-neon-ish. @__@

If you choose the brighter one, you're probably less of a Kiva fan and more of a Seto fan :D

A Mixture of Excitement and Angst

I finished yet another MV (yay)! I'm pretty happy with this one :D I feel like I worked on it for really long time, though I only worked on the video itself for 2 days. The extra time was spent translating the song I used because there were absolutely no translations on the internet ANYWHERE O_O It's such a good song, too! *Is disappointed*

But, yes, a translation was necessary, so I buckled down and did my best ^_^ And I'm not going to share my hard work with you :D

On another subject. . . I was pretty excited today because finally some new scanlated chapters of Sket Dance came out ^w^

The scanlating team is looking for cleaners and typesetters and I was considering it. . .

I don't think it would be very difficult ^_^ but, I don't think I want that responsibility.

AH, more fun news: The Kamen Rider Kiva movie, "King of the Castle in the Demon World" (wahaha, what's up with that name? >_<) came out on Saturday! Yay! In his blog, Seto asked Kiva fans to please visit theaters to see the new movie. . .

but, I couldn't. . . T_T

Unfortunate non-Japanese fans will probably have to wait until a good five months from now to watch it. Or more. D':

They just did the Kamen Rider Super Live 2008 stage show, too. . .

Wallpaper Time!

I'm on episode 19 of KRK and I'm still enjoying it :) Apparently, Wataru has a bad habit of making friends with people who just so happen to be fangai. Yeah. Poor Wataru.

Though, I'm glad he made one good friend who's not a monster. No, instead he's a rock musician ^_^

Anyway, I spent some time today making an amazing desktop picture and I thought I would share it with you! Yay! It's a KRK wallpaper (of course) and it's filled with Wataru/Seto Koji- so if you've been wanting a KRK or a Setomaru desktop pic, here you go.

Kamen Rider 2008!

Because I've finished watching Kamen Rider Den-o, it's time to move onto Kiva. And I have ^_^. I started watching the first episode and then stopped because it seemed kind of creepy. . .

After that, I tried to watch Kamen Rider Hibiki, but I couldn't be patient enough to watch past the second episode. I really liked the musical opening of Hibiki; it was definitely made of win, but it was all downhill from there. I think it was the form of the monsters that got me. They made REALLY annoying noises and I found the battle scenes were too hard to follow. Yeah, it was irritating.

So, I went back to Kiva, fell in love with Wataru when he held up the "" sign, and have been watching it ever since.

I'm glad that this rider was different than I expected. When I read about it, it seemed that the monsters- fangaia, fangai, fangire, whatever you want to call them- were modeled after vampires, and that made me NOT want to watch it.

Me + blood =

Here's the first episode of Kamen Rider Kiva, because it's awesome (though, the opening music is a bit grating ^_^; ). Can you spot Masao from Hanazakari no Kimitachi e? Mahahaha I'm creeped out :D
